Method 3: Create a shortcut for Outlook safe mode
This is the fastest way out of the above two as it is like a pre-made program for future requirements.
- Right-click on blank surface >> Go to New >> Shortcut
- Browse or Type the location of Outlook.exe, and last type “ /safe” and click on Next.
- Type a name of a shortcut like “Outlook Safe mode” >> Click on the finish button to make a shortcut.
Method 4: How to start Outlook in safe mode using Command Prompt?
If you want to use the command prompt to open Outlook in safe mode then you have to know the outlook.exe file location.

Open CMD and type the following command (as per the outlook version) in the front of it then hit on the Enter button to open Outlook in safe mode.
